| Announcement:: Strictly South Staffs Dancing Competition |
| See the pictures from the Live Dance off night where Steve and Pauline Finney waltzed off with gold medals and flowers as overall champions. The pictures are on this website where you can marvel at the outfits and observe the fine footwork on display. A hotly contested final dance off was won by an audience vote of 15 votes to 14 with Mike and Charlotte Davies very close runners up. Many thanks to all 11 couples who were absolutely fantastic and showed off their new talents after only a few lessons from Steve and Amanda. A great night was had by all. Thank you to Steve and Amanda for their expert tuition and the social committee for organising the event. It was such a success and great fun that a second series is planned for the Autumn - watch this space! |

| Announcement:: Successful Students -Food Hygiene Course |
| Yesterday (Sat 26th Jan) saw 12 brave students sweating over their coursework and multiple choice examination under the strict supervision of training guru 'Kate Pyle' They all passed with flying colours and will shortly be the proud owners of a food safety certificate. As part of a move to tighten up our already excellent galley procedures, this is the first time a formal qualification has been awarded at the club to the main galley helms and some of their assistants. Well done to the students and Kate for volunteering to give up your Saturday ! (They even took the good practices home and apparently one student woke up in a cold sweat in the middle of the night and went downstairs to move some chicken to a more hygenic position !!) |
